Discovery Southeast’s Outdoor Explorers summer camp focuses on outdoor exploration and hands-on learning in the many incredible forests and beaches of Juneau. Small groups of 8 to 12 children will spend the day exploring, playing, and reconnecting with each other and our natural surroundings. Groups will meet directly at the trailhead of the week and will carry all they need in their backpacks. The weekly theme will be the guiding focus for activities and leaders can also cater to the curiosities within the groups.
We are operating under our Pandemic Protocols (updated 6/18/21). These include continued health screenings, exclusively outdoor programs, and general physical distancing, but no longer always require mask wearing.
Age Groups
- all day programs for kids entering 2nd-6th grade, and a few options for kids entering 6th-8th grade.
- We will also have half day afternoon-only options for kids entering K-1st grade.
Cost
- Suggested tuition for full days is $260/child/week
- Half days $150/child/week.
- We proudly offer pay-as-you-can tuition for all programs, so you can pay what is right for your family.

- Participants are limited to 3 weeks maximum and we ask that they do not sign up for two weeks in a row.
