This is a lesson we created for 1st graders in the Juneau School District. You don’t need to be in 1st grade to try this one at home!
This activity is well suited for kids ages 5-8.
Materials Needed:
- Paper and Pencil
- Headphones (optional)
This Activity is broken up into 3 parts, this could be an all at once activity, or could be broken up into multiple days.
The younger your child is, the more guidance they may require, remember to encourage your child to do the work and the thinking! Asking probing questions will help with their learning:
- What does it sound like to you?
- What do you hear?
